Kappa Myoo
€40.00
My favourite part of this painting is the chilled out vibe of this Kappa. Here this Hokusai inspired Kappa looks very zen, posed under a waterfall with his cucumber sword as Fudo Myoo. Much attention has been paid to capturing the rich foliage surrounding this small waterfall, based on a photograph I took in Japan on visit. The way the waterfall was framed in an almost cave-like knave immediately inspired this concept of is being a throne, or place of meditation for a supreme Kappa. I'm glad it finally came to fruition. Hope you enjoy
